During
the month of May, a castle
courtyard, complete with gate,
towers and drawbridge, was constructed at Barrandov
for Prince Caspian. An adjoining village, which is connected
to the castle by a sixty-meter
long bridge, is currently being completed. In order to
build the one-hundred meter long and nineteen meter high castle and the
village, which measures ninety
meters by eighty meters in area, Barrandov's Sets Division
used 670 cubic meters of lumber, consisting of planks, logs, posts, and
boards in addition to 23,000 square meters of wood panels. Some scenes
have already been shot in the castle courtyard.
An entire range of sets were constructed at Barrandov
for Prince Caspian. In addition to the castle, bridge and
village built on the backlot, castle interiors were also created. Stage
No. 6 was the site of an enormous, decorative twelve meter high set
representing a mountain
cave. Stage No. 8 – the new MAX soundstage, is
the site of a mountain
forest, complete with waterfall and small lake. Read the

Disney
Interactive Studios announced today the release of The Chronicles of
Narnia: Prince
Caspian games, which are coming out in the spring
of 2008 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, PlayStation 2,
PSP and Nintendo DS. It already has 700 developers in four studios in
Glendale; Salt Lake City; Brighton, England; and Vancouver, Canada.
According to Samantha Parker, producer of the game at Disney
Interactive Studios, it will feature even more
collaboration between the filmmakers and the game creators than the
first venture. Parker said the goal for the new game is to include the film
voice talent wherever possible. The game will also feature
the likenesses
of the actors. ''There are even plans in the pipeline to
create sequences, unique to the videogame, using some of the actors and
sets from the film,'' said Parker.
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian will allow players to assume the
role of 20 different characters from the film, including non-human
Narnians. In addition, the game supports two-player,
drop-in/drop-out cooperative gameplay.

Filming
on The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian has now begun in Bovec
with a team of hundreds. But this year’s largest Disney film
project, Prince Caspian, is wrapped in a shroud of mystery even after
the first few days of filming. Only a few things are known - for
instance, that they have built a 60 metre long wooden bridge. You can

Casting
is underway for a single role in the third film of the Narnia series,
''The Voyage of the Dawn Treader''. The role is for Eustace
Scrubb. This is seen to be a highly challenging role as
the successful actor will have to play a character who is both highly
irritating whilst being watchable and, ultimately, sympathetic. The
story is set in 1950s middle-class England so voices need to be
credible within that context.

Narnia
is now filming in the Barrandov
Studio in Prague. The film is being shot there from April
to August and it costs over 100
million USD. The studios now contains a castle with a
large courtyard and a big gate, towers and a drawbridge. The main stars
of the film, Georgie
Henley, Skandar Keynes, William Moseley and Anna Popplewell
will also shot in caves or in a wood with a waterfall and a small lake,
all made in Barrandov studios. About 110 people has been working on the
requisites for more than 6 months. The Czech premiere of the film is
planned for May 2008. Moreover, Andrew Adamson delivered a taped
message saying that, unlike the original book, "Prince Caspian" will
feature "battles all the way through."

Michael
Apted has signed on to direct Walt Disney Pictures/Walden Media's "The

two films in the series, will continue his involvement by also serving
as a producer on the project. This latest Narnia adventure
will take people to an entirely different side of Narnia that no one
has ever seen before, and is filled with lots of action, adventure,
magic and wonder.

released.
